This privacy policy describes the guidelines that Connecticut Community Care, Inc. (CCCI) follows for information collected during your visit to this web site. This policy does not apply to information we collect through other resources. We reserve the right to revise this policy at any time. We will notify you of any material changes to the policy by posting the new policy here and by changing the "Last Updated" date at the top. This policy also does not apply to personal health information covered under HIPAA, for which we have a separate policy - click for our HIPAA privacy policy.

The Information We Collect

Certain information is automatically collected when you visit our site. The types of information collected when you visit our web pages include your IP address, the date and time our web site was accessed, the page or pages you visited and images you accessed, what the web server told you the result was and what your web browser told the web server was the page that referred to the page you asked for. We may use IP addresses and anonymous demographic information in the aggregate to share with advertisers and market researchers, and to improve the design of our web site to better serve our customers. We do not drill down into anonymous demographic information to analyze or collect personal information, but reserve the right to do so to investigate unlawful or wrongful conduct, or breaches of this or other web site policies.

Our web sites use cookies where necessary. Cookies are small bits of text that are stored by your web browser. We use cookies to identify you when you return to our web sites in order to simplify logging in and to enhance browsing sessions.

For Registrations/Donations

In order to use certain features of this site, we ask that you complete various registration forms for events, seminars and workshops. During this process, you may be asked to give certain contact information such as your name and e-mail address, corporate affiliation and job title, address and phone number. This is used to contact you regarding any questions or in case there is a change in plans regarding an upcoming event.

Whenever you register for a seminar or event or make a donation online, information will usually be requested on an order or donation form. Information requested would include name and address, financial information such as a credit card number and expiration date (if there is a fee or it is in reference to a donation). This is used to process your registration, fill your order or process your donation.

CCCI may use information about you to contact you in an effort to raise money for CCCI or to promote a future seminar or event. This information would be limited to the contact information you provided such as your name, address, and e-mail address.

Purchases

Whenever you place an order via this site for the Guide to Care Management or other publications, information requested would include name, address and financial information such as a credit card number and expiration date. This information is used for the purposes of filling customers orders.

Use of Information

We are not in the business of selling information about our customers. There are circumstances, however, under which we allow access to our database by third parties, to the extent that those third parties provide us with services that help us operate the web site. For example, when you provide us with a credit card payment, the credit card processor and other entities for processing your payment will receive your information. From time to time, we may also engage the services of third parties to help us analyze use of the web site. These third parties are contractually bound to use the personal information only in accordance with this policy. There may also be occasions when we are legally required to provide access to our database in order to cooperate with investigations or other legal proceedings. In those instances, the information is provided only for that purpose.

While your individual information is protected as outlined above, we reserve the right to use aggregated, anonymous data about our visitors as a group for any business purpose, such as, without limitation, analyzing usage trends. Information we collect may also be used to improve the content of our website, track activity on our site, develop new services, respond to inquiries, and for future fundraising/marketing purposes.

Due to the nature of electronic communication, we cannot and do not provide any assurance that the contents of your e-mail will not become known or accessible to third parties.

CCCI does not sell, trade, or rent personally identifying information we collect on this site to any third party without your permission.

CCCI does provide additional links on our web site to resources that our customers may find useful. These links will lead you to sites governed by different privacy policies. Visitors take responsibility for visiting these other web sites and should review their privacy practices as CCCI has no control over information submitted to those sites.

This web site is located in the United States and all information collection and practices are governed by the laws of the United States. While we attempt to protect the personal information of all users of the web site, if you are unsure whether this policy is in conflict with the applicable local rules where you are located, you should not submit your personal information to the web site.
