Our Statement on Racism and Equity

The recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others have shocked and outraged people, including every one of us here at Connecticut Community Care. As a 40-year-old nonprofit care management organization, we hold ourselves wholly accountable to advocating for Racial Justice.
In support, we commit to checking, rechecking and ensuring that racial equity is embedded into our everyday work at CCC. We commit as individuals to doing more to end racial inequity. We commit to careful planning and development of inclusive and diverse staff and community programming.
We need to make it clear in our words and our actions that change starts with each one of us. We must be braver, stronger, and more vigilant. We must do more. Working together, our vision of equitable communities to which we all aspire will become reality.
As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
