In Our Own Backyard

Dick Fyfe, 90, is continuing his life-long hobby of painting. In this interview, Dick and his daughter, Lindsey Fyfe, paint outdoors and talk about their artistic processes. They find a way to be creative despite the pandemic.
Lindsey, who is a painter, musician and teacher, thinks about art’s restorative effects. She says, "The benefits of art-making on the mind and spirit are relevant to people at this unprecedented time when so many are struggling, isolated at home, and seeking outlets for comfort and joy.”
This interview is inspirational. Here’s hoping you and those you care for can find safe and healthy ways to be creative and connect to each other.
