Helping People Live Their Best Lives
Fred is an avid reader who enjoys the classics, and he decided a long time ago not to let his diagnosis of legal blindness slow his passion for reading. When his digital magnifier broke, leaving him unable to read, he felt lost. These days he’s reading again thanks to a new magnifier made possible by your support.
Richard is a faithful exerciser. Recently, he suffered a stroke that impacted his ability to walk. With physical therapy and daily practice, Richard made huge strides, strengthening his leg and regaining walking skills. To continue rehabilitation at home, he needed a padded sling for certain leg exercises. Richard was delighted when a new lift walking sling arrived at his door thanks to the behind-the-scenes work of his CCC Care Manager, Jessica, and your generosity. These days, Richard is continuing to improve in the comfort of his home.
With the cold weather setting in, Henry and his CCC Care Manager, Trecia, realized that he lacked important basics. Together, they searched online for winter clothing, including a jacket, boots, and socks. With your support and contributions, it didn’t take long to revitalize Henry’s wardrobe in time for the coldest months.
Mahogany is usually able to access her entire house using her lift chair. However, her lift chair remote control stopped working due to regular wear and tear. Your contributions helped Mahogany be able to be more independent again.
Don relies on writing to help him learn and communicate with people who provide his care. But a more advanced, ergonomic dry erase board —essential for comfortable writing—was out of reach due to its expense. With your support, Don has a new dry erase board and is writing more often and with greater comfort these days.

Bea’s living her best life at home these days!
For some CCC clients it’s important to track and coordinate a team of caregivers. Scheduling can get complex when multiple people are involved. With help from CCC Care Manager Steven, Tommy took the initiative to simplify the process by requesting an inexpensive laptop to track timecards of his team. Now, keeping track of who’s coming on what days and times is a breeze.
