A Care Manager's Point of View: Elizabeth Kirhoffer

What I like most about being a CCC care manager is making a difference in the lives of our clientele. I like being a part of the reason they are able to live at home, get out in the community and enjoy themselves. Although the work can be very challenging, it is so rewarding.  I end my day knowing I learned something new, and more importantly, did something positive for our clients. Recently, I helped a young man with quadriplegia get a bathroom modification. He was so appreciative throughout the entire process and was almost in tears when I told him it was approved.  I love that I was able to be a part of bringing him joy and making his life easier.

Throughout my time at CCC,  I have had the opportunity to work with clients of all ages, from 18 to 100. Many have taught me to value what I have and not let the small things get in the way. We all have obstacles in our lives, but it’s important to focus on the future and at the same time make the best of the moment.
